Federal Interior Minister Naqvi visit to Quetta, was remarkable and important for provincial harmony, where he was warmly received by Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti at the Chief Minister’s House. During their meeting, both leaders engaged in discussions on various matters of mutual interest, focusing particularly on the public order situation in the province and other important issues.
Minister Naqvi reiterated the commitment of the federal government to provide all necessary support for improving public order in Balochistan. He emphasized the significance of Balochistan’s role in the country’s development journey, highlighting that progress and development in the province are essential for Pakistan’s overall advancement.
In response, Chief Minister Bugti expressed gratitude for the cooperation extended by Minister Naqvi and assured that all available resources would be utilized to maintain peace and order in Balochistan. The meeting was also attended by Balochistan Interior Minister Mir Zia Longo and Federal Interior Secretary Khurram Agha.
In a separate event during his visit, Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi announced plans for the installation of floodlights in the cricket stadium by September, with aspirations to host Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches in Quetta. Moreover, discussions were held regarding the establishment of high-performance cricket centers in Quetta and Gwadar to promote the sport in Balochistan.
The stadium visit was attended by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Senator Anwarul Haq Kakar, and other officials, underscoring the commitment to sports development in the region. This collaborative effort between federal and provincial authorities reflects a concerted approach towards enhancing public order, infrastructure development, and sports promotion in Balochistan.
