Opposition Alliance and Section 144
According to the constitution, the elected parliament of the people is the supreme. Our struggle is for the sanctity and democracy of the elected parliament. The leaders said that the constitution gives the right to express opinion. But how Section 144 was implemented to stop our peaceful assembly is condemnable. Our movement from Balochistan will go to the whole country.
The 6-party opposition alliance will hold a rally in the Pishin district of Balochistan today. The opposition alliance is scheduled to hold a meeting in Pishin Balochistan today against the alleged rigging in the election 2024. Yesterday, in the meeting of the opposition parties, the decision to start a movement in the name of the Protection of the Constitution of Pakistan was revealed.
Mehmood Khan Achakzai was nominated as the president of the movement. After the announcement of the first grand meeting of the opposition alliance, the district administration implemented Section 144. Under Section 144, a gathering of 5 or more people will be prohibited. The 6-party opposition alliance includes PTI, BNP, PK MAP, Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen, Sunni Unity Council, and Jamaat-e-Islami.
