Maulana Mohammad Siddique Mengal, President of Khuzdar Press Club, died in the blast on Khuzdar National Highway. 6 people were also injured in the blast. According to the initial investigation, the explosive material was fitted in the vehicle with a magnet.
The chief minister of Balochistan and the interior minister have expressed their grief over the incident and expressed their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family. Balochistan Home Minister Mir Zia Longo has asked the authorities for a report on the incident. A spokesperson of the Balochistan government says that orders have been issued for the immediate arrest of the elements involved in the incident.
