By-elections in three constituencies of the Balochistan

Polling for the by-elections in three constituencies of the Balochistan Provincial Assembly is underway today, April 21. The constituencies where by-elections are taking place are PB-20 Khuzdar 3, PB-22 Lasbela, and PB-50 Qila Abdullah.

The seats in Khuzdar and Lasbela became vacant when the elected members resigned after winning the previous election. The by-election in PB-50 Qila Abdullah is being held on the orders of the Supreme Court.

Khuzdar

In Khuzdar, where there are 100 polling stations catering to 93,425 voters, all stations have been categorized as highly sensitive. Among the voters, 52,777 are male and 40,648 are female. There are eight candidates contesting from this constituency.

Lasbela

In PB-22 Lasbela, out of 129 polling stations, 59 have been declared sensitive. There are a total of 139,000 registered voters, with 76,325 male voters and 62,743 female voters. Four candidates are contesting from Lasbela.

Qila Abduallah

PB-50 Qila Abdullah has 163,743 registered voters, with 104,161 male voters and 59,592 female voters. Out of the 125 polling stations, 47 have been declared sensitive and 78 highly sensitive.
