Quetta: Chief Minister Mir Sardar Fraz Bugti chaired a crucial budget session in Quetta, marking progress as preparations for Balochistan’s upcoming fiscal year budget reach 70% completion.
During the session, CM Bugti underscored key priorities including education, healthcare, and initiatives like air ambulances and the Benazir Bhutto Scholarship Program. He emphasized the need to learn from past budgetary errors and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
Bugti announced that the scrutiny of government performance will commence with the implementation of development projects from July 1. He stressed transparency in the execution of development schemes and directed secretaries and deputy commissioners to monitor progress in the field personally.
Accountability measures were also highlighted, with Bugti stating that officials failing to achieve targets at district and tehsil levels will be held responsible.
The session reflects the government’s commitment to transparent governance and effective fiscal management as Balochistan prepares for the new financial year.
