Public notices by the Returning Officers have been issued across the country for general elections. Blank forms for nomination papers can be taken today. According to the current schedule, nomination papers can be submitted across the country from December 20 to 22 for general elections.
The initial lists of candidates will be released on December 23. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be held from December 24 to 30. Objections against nomination papers can be filed till January 3.
Appeals against the nomination papers of the candidates will be heard till January 10. On January 13, election symbols will be allotted to the candidates.
